Four neo-Nazi groups banned in Europe and North America are operating in Australia

Check out this new report published on 22 March 2021 by the Centre for the Analysis of the Radical Right (CARR) and Hedayah.

This report, which is part of a larger comparative cross-country project on countering extremist narratives, looks at street-based and small-cell forms of radical right extremism in Australia.

The report provides an incredibly useful map of radical right organisations in Australia, with a snapshot description of their ideology, their leaders and symbols. The report maps also the connections between the Christchurch terrorist and Australian far-right groups.

According to the report, “Australia has become fertile ground for radical right extremist activism and violence.”
